Accounting Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically savvy Accounting Analyst to join our growing finance team. This role will be responsible for analyzing financial data, supporting accounting operations, improving business processes, and assisting with technology initiatives across the accounting function. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, experience working within sophisticated ERP environments, and a passion for leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to drive efficiency and enhance reporting capabilities. 80-90k DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis to support management decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and operational efficiencies through technology, automation, and process enhancements.
• Utilize AI tools and emerging technologies to streamline reporting, analysis, and routine accounting functions.
• Serve as a key resource within the organization's ERP system, including troubleshooting, reporting, and process optimization.
• Participate in ERP implementation, enhancement, and conversion projects, including data validation, testing, documentation, and training.
• Support initiatives to modernize accounts payable processes, including electronic payment systems, automation, and workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, IT, and operational teams to improve data integrity and business processes.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
• 3+ years of accounting, financial analysis, or accounting systems experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Experience working within a sophisticated ERP environment (such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Infor, or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to leverage technology and AI tools to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and business processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Preferred

• Experience supporting or participating in ERP system implementations, migrations, or cloud-based ERP conversions.
• Experience improving accounts payable processes and implementing electronic payment solutions.
• Experience with process automation, workflow design, or business intelligence tools.
• Public accounting or corporate accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply.
